BALLET AND BULLETS

How amazing is this image? I yanked it off of the tumblr DIRTYLITTLESTYLEWHORE, which is ridiculously addicting...especially if you've started to foster a deep dark desire for vintage Chanel chain bags like me. My little faux black one just isn't cutting it these days.

FAST TIMES AT SLOW LIBRARIES

Well..nothing much has been going on. I'm pretty boring. I feel bad for neglected my blog.

I just got done with a maymester class--college algebra. I got a B in it. A B! Some folks might blow that off, but for me that's a huge freakin' deal. I'm a theatre student who writes lame poetry and sings show tunes, for Chrissakes. I'm pretty sure the left side of my brain is a frozen tundra where math and science go to die.
So for the first summer school session I'm taking statistics...and we shall see how that turns out. I'm going to have to take a picture of the freakish chairs in my classroom. The fantabulous David Ray and I got to class late and literally spent five minutes figuring out how to get into our chairs while our other classmates gawped at us. Summer two is going to be political science (which is fancy college talk for Texas government) and a theatre class called Summer Theatre Activities...and none of us really know what that class is all about. Weird. But I'm sure it will be a big ol' good time.

I'm in the Lewisville library now, which is one of my favorite contemporary libraries. It doesn't have that old-book smell, but it's still really calm and actually serene. I like the blonde wood and cream colors and the giant window-wall--it's really reminiscent of some kind of atrium.
My favorite library in real life is probably the TCU school library, or the old Adams Middle School library before it was renovated.

Hmm...sounds like I should go on a library roadtrip...I'd like to visit old libraries in different cities.

Oh Polyvore...

...how you make me sad about things I don't have. This is what I'd be tooling around in for summer school if I was thinner...and richer..Cavalli and Mont Blanc pens don't just grow on trees, y'know.
